Sausage Bread Recipe

Not long ago my brother, John, and I were sitting at the kitchen table at mom’s house and talking to MaRea about the sausage bread she used to make at the holidays.  This was always a favorite of everyone’s and we would fight over who would get the last piece.

1 roll Jimmy Dean Sausage

1/2 cup shredded cheese

1 tube Pillsbury French Bread loaf, or other ready to use bread loaf (Now MaRea would make her own white bread and roll the sausage in that, which is the best way to make this recipe but the Pillsbury loaves as well as the ones you can purchase in the freezer section also work just as well)

Brown the Jimmy Dean Sausage and drain.

Roll out bread dough on greased baking sheet.  Place sausage 1/3 of the way from end and place cheese on top of sausage.  Fold ends to where when rolling bread it will be nicely tucked under.  Roll the bread and cook seam side down.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until bread is done.
