This is a favorite of mine.
First Layer:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1 cup chopped nuts (I prefer to use either almonds or walnuts but you can use pecans as well)
Second Layer:
1 cup powdered sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup Cool Whip
Third Layer
2 – 3 oz packages instant chocolate pudding
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups cold milk
First Layer: Blend all ingredients together and press firmly on bottom of 9×13 glass baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Let cool completely.
Second Layer: Blend together cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread over cooled first layer
Third Layer Blend all ingredients until smooth and pour over second layer. Once set top with remaining cool whip
