Cream Cheese Pound Cake Recipe

3 sticks butter

1 tsp almond flavoring

3 cups sifted cake flour

1 – 8 oz package cream cheese

3 cups sugar

6 eggs

1/4 tap baking soda

Cream butter, sugar and cream cheese together. Add eggs, alternating with flour. Add almond flavoring.

Place in large greased and floured tube pan. Place in cold over and back at 300 F for 1 and a half hours.

Note – this cake cooks best when oven is NOT preheated.
