This is another Christmas favorite of mine. Once you have this you won’t drink the store bought eggnog in my opinion
1 quart milk
4 heapting tablespoons of sugar
nutmeg to taste
Place milk in saucepan and cook to boiling over medium heat. Make sure to stir the milk often so that the milk doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. Reduce heat to low. Seperate eggs and cream sugar with egg yolks. Temper egg yolks with the hot milk by adding a small bit into the egg yoik mixture before adding the egg yolks to the hot milk. Make sure to stir continuously while adding egg yolks to milk.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Note: You can also add a jigger or two of whiskey or makers mark to the eggnog for the adults.
