Book 9 is almost complete. I am reading it one more time before I send it to the editor.
I have really enjoyed writing this book. I worked really close with my dad and added a lot of my family history in the book.
Along the way I found out more about my ancestors and everything they had to overcome. I learned a lot about the Cajun culture as well.
Growing up my sister and I would visit my aunt in Jackson, LA. The antebellum home she lived in was haunted. I just had to incorporate our adventures there as well.
This book is a work of fiction with some history thrown in. It talks about the Acadians and how they were exiled from their beloved homes. It talks about how against all odds a family made a new life here in Louisiana.
And of course there are ghosts of Bridgette’s ancestors that have to warn her of the evil that lurks on the property.
