A lone slave house, now appropriately named The Hideaway, and the old buggy trail winding its way through the property are all that remains of a once majestic plantation. Over the decades the plantation had crumbled and been long forgotten. The land sold off in parcels.
The Hideaway is tucked away in a far corner among other parcels of land that were once part of a plantation home, almost lost at the end of the road. Mother Nature and the elements were unable to destroy The Hideaway over the years. The Hideaway has been in The Hunter’s family for years.
