Even though I have actually gotten a lot written on my latest book I really miss my munchkin.
She is growing up so fast. It’s hard to believe she will be in the fifth grade this school year.
10 years ago we didn’t even know if she would be born. I had just started MS treatment when we found out I was pregnant. After numerous miscarriages my husband and I gave up on ever having a biological child. Plus I had just been diagnosed with MS.
We were happy with our family though. At the time I was diagnosed with MS we had a 12 year old son who we had adopted two years ago. He was finally breaking out of his shell and we were just thankful he had come into our lives.
It was at Christmas when we found out I was pregnant. It took us by complete surprise. I had a great doctor who informed us he was going to do everything in his power to make sure I delivered this baby.
He had his work cut out for him. At twenty-eight weeks my daughter decided she was ready to come into this world. From week 28 to 34 I was on bed rest. It was worth it though. At week thirty-four Resa decided she was tired of waiting and ready to come into this world.
We pick on her and tell her she was born at lunch time, ready to eat and has stayed hungry.
Both kids are our pride and joy. We tell our oldest he is special because we were able to choose him and Resa is special because God decided to give us a miracle baby.
